The Community Association Law Committee will engage in legislative and public policy initiatives affecting community associations in South Carolina and will also assist in developing continuing legal education programs that will address common issues involved in the practice of community association law.


Committee Goals

  • This committee will engage in legislative and public policy initiatives affecting community associations in South Carolina and also assist in developing continuing legal education programs that will address common issues involved in the practice of community association law.
  • Coordinate seminars on a variety of related issues that will address collection and foreclosures, injunction laws, legislative updates, etc. and host several lunch and learn programs for the general public to attend.
  • Educate members of the Bar regarding current trends and new laws impacting community association law
  • Provide education to members of the public on basic information regarding community association law to enable them to be more effective advocates for and protect themselves.
  • Encourage members to monitor, study, evaluate and express comments on legislation to the Bar.
