Are you considering adoption? Whether you are waiting for the call, raising money for costs or thinking about being a foster parent, the SC Bar's Young Lawyers Division (YLD) can help.

On Jan. 27, attend the Families Forever Fair in Simpsonville for free information on adoption and foster care. Attorneys, agencies and other vendors in children's services will be on hand for one-on-one consultations. The event is from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church (3 Hedge St., Simpsonville 29681).

“The decision to foster or adopt is life changing,” said Jacqueline Bond Anthony, YLD Families Forever Committee Chair. “If you don’t know where to start, Families Forever is the best place to take that first step."

At the fair, families can attend short workshops about types of adoptions, children’s health and financing an adoption. Foster parents can also get recertification training hours for attending.

“We've helped over 100 families expand their families through this unique event,” said Anthony. “I'm proud that the YLD helped find forever homes for these children.”

Attendees are encouraged to register online at www.scbar.org/adoption. The Families Forever Fair will also be in Charleston on Feb. 24 and in Columbia on March 24. For more information, visit www.scbar.org/adoption.
