Mission
The purpose of the Section is to promote the goals and objectives of the South Carolina Bar in the area of health law. These goals and objectives include, but are not limited to, educating the bench, bar and public in the area of health law and cultivating the intra-professional relationships between the bar and the health care community, including physicians and other health care providers and institutions.Â
Section BylawsGoals
- Conduct a Section seminar and networking event at the SC Bar Convention.
- Monitor and identify needs for legislative activity relevant to Health Care Law.
- Provide networking opportunities for Section members and continue to encourage member participation.
- Continue to inform Section members of significant developments in health care law through the Section community platform, E-Blast, social media, and post on the Bar Website.
- Identify ways to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Section and its leadership.
- Explore partnering with other Bar entities, various other organizations (i.e., American College of Health Care Executives), and the USC Rice School of Law Health Law Society, for special events and/or educational programs.
- Explore ways to become a valuable resource to the SC Bar on Health Care Law related issues.
- Offer online CLEs and distance learning programs on topics that would be of interest to Section members.
