Committees

Serving on a committee introduces you to new colleagues and helps you grow in the legal profession.

Joining a committee is a rewarding way to expand your professional network, share your knowledge, and contribute to the continued success of the South Carolina Bar.

Serving on a South Carolina Bar Committee is an excellent way to meet new colleagues, develop leadership skills, and make a meaningful impact on the legal profession and the communities we serve. All members are encouraged to volunteer their expertise, time, and talents to support the work of the Bar and advance the profession.

Committee activities and time commitments vary depending on each committee's purpose, projects, and meeting schedule. Most committees meet through a combination of in-person meetings, virtual platforms, and conference calls, making participation accessible for members across the state.

  • Sign-up period: June 1–30
