Mission
The International Law Committee of the South Carolina Bar serves as a forum for discussion, development of programs, and creation of materials dealing with both international transactions and litigation. Members of the committee have experience in numerous aspects of international law, including business formations, mergers and acquisitions, international business and banking transactions, technology law and privacy, representation of foreign nationals in U.S. litigation, representation of U.S. clients in litigation against foreign individuals and companies, immigration, international family law, international trade and customs, anti-terrorism, human rights and human trafficking.

South Carolina Law Students Shine at International Law Competition

Students from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law recently competed in the 2026 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot—often called the “World Cup of International Law.” The prestigious competition brings together more than 400 law schools from around the world to argue complex international commercial law disputes.
