Corporate, Banking and Securities Law Section

Mission

The purpose of this Section shall be to promote the goals and objectives of the South Carolina Bar in the fields of corporate, banking, and securities law. Objectives include stimulating research and development, seeking uniformity in legislation and administration, and improving the application of justice in these fields of law.

Goals

  • Conduct a Section CLE in conjunction with the SC Bar Convention.
  • Continue to inform Section members of significant developments in corporate, banking and securities law through the Section listserv, in E-Blast and on the Bar website.
  • Continue to support the Legal Opinion Ad Hoc Committee and any other duly constituted committees.
  • Continue to monitor and identify needs for legislative activity related to corporate, banking and securities law issues.
