The Ask-A-Lawyer program coordinates volunteer lawyers for televised phone banks and web chats to assist the public with its legal questions.

During each event, phone banks are aired on evening news programs to encourage the public to call in with questions. Lawyers also respond to questions online. Use the calendar below to participate in an upcoming phone bank or web chat.

If you have questions about bankruptcy, please refer to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court's monthly Ask-A-Lawyer program. If you need legal advice, please contact the South Carolina Bar Lawyer Referral Service at 800-868-2284 or call the Legal Aid Telephone Intake Service (LATIS) at 888-346-5592.
