On January 30, 2026, the SC Bar Pro Bono Program, Time Served, SC Legal Services, and the Young Lawyers Division held an expungement and pardon counseling clinic at the T.K. Gregg Community Center in Spartanburg. The event focused on providing clear, practical guidance to individuals seeking information about expungable offenses and pardon eligibility. Thank you to the SC Bar Foundation, whose support of each organization involved in this clinic makes statewide community legal assistance efforts like this possible.

51 people received one on one counseling during the clinic. Volunteers helped clients understand the status of their records, whether they qualified for relief, and what steps to take next. A special shoutout is needed for our members who participated in the clinic and the planning process: Dalton Barfield, Amanda Belfiore, Nijel Edwards, Allison Elder, Sergey Germanovich, Donna Jackson, Ashley Long, Tiffney Love, Ray Mullman, and Megan Powell. Each attorney worked directly with clients to review records and provide individualized guidance.

This clinic represented a strong partnership effort and delivered meaningful support for community members working to remove legal barriers.
