Job Summary

The intake screener position salary is negotiable. South Carolina Legal Services (SCLS) is a state-wide nonprofit organization that provides free legal assistance in a wide variety of civil (non-criminal) legal matters to eligible low income residents of South Carolina. SCLS does not discriminate on the basis of disability, or any class status protected by federal, state, or local laws and regulations.

The Intake Screener prescreens applicants for eligibility, refers applicants to non-

legal available resources, translates oral and written communications in Spanish, and performs other administrative work and assignments under the supervision and

guidance of the managing attorney. The Intake Screener may be required to participate in outreach activities. The position may also require some evening and/or weekend work as well as statewide travel.
