At Steele Family Law, we are a small but growing law firm looking for an Associate Attorney.
The position is full-time. Salary is between $55,000 and $85,000 per year depending on years and type of experience. Depending on your needs, we offer health and vision insurance with an employer contribution.
We are looking to hire the right Associate Attorney to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, is tech-savvy, loves working with children and families, and is excited to flourish personally and professionally.

Responsibilities
• Represent spouses, parents, and other individuals as their lawyer of record in family court actions
• Represent the best interests of children in contested custody matters as a Guardian ad Litem
• Conduct initial consultations with client, evaluate the merits of their case, and provide sounds advice on their best path forward
• Draft pleadings, letters, and other court documents
• Prepare thorough preliminary and final Guardian ad Litem reports ahead of temporary and final hearings
• Advocate for clients in hearings and mediations
• Keep clients regularly informed about the status of their case
• Maintain thorough records through the firm’s case management system to ensure everyone in the firm has access to the most up to date information regarding the case
Requirements
Education: J.D. and SC Bar License within 6 months of hire
