Job Summary

With the vision of supporting the values and mission of the Office of Civil Rights & Title IX, the Civil Rights & Title IX Investigator will support a centralized civil rights function that will be a leading model in higher education. The Office of Civil Rights & Title IX is on a mission to create an environment where all people are treated with dignity and respect and have an equal opportunity to learn and work at a university free from discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. In partnership with and reporting to the Director of Investigations and Resolutions, the Civil Rights and Title IX Investigator provides support to the university by enacting the university policies against discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct as well as helping ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws. The Investigator’s primary responsibilities will be to assess and investigate allegations pertaining to discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct, which promotes expectations consistent with civil rights laws such as Title IX, Title VI, and Title VII. The Investigator will be expected to work independently, adhere to policies and procedures, and conduct thorough and impartial investigations.

Requirements

Education: Bachelors required. J.D. Preferred.

Experience: 3 or more years of related experience
