Hewett & Diamaduros Law Firm is a litigation law firm located in Columbia, South Carolina. We are seeking a professional, dependable, and organized Receptionist / Legal Assistant to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and plays an important role in supporting our attorneys and paralegals in the daily operation of the firm.

The Receptionist / Legal Assistant will answer and direct incoming phone calls, greet clients and visitors, assist attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks, maintain files, and perform various clerical duties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors warmly, direct them appropriately, and ensure a professional first impression

Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner

Schedule appointments

Assist attorneys and paralegals with administrative and clerical tasks

Prepare, scan, copy, and organize documents

Enter and update information in the firm's case management system

Assist with client intake and communication

Perform general office duties and other tasks as assigned

Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and route calls efficiently

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, or law office experience preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
