Job Summary

We are a well-established criminal defense firm seeking a motivated and capable Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload and gain meaningful courtroom experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Position Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing criminal cases at all stages of the proceedings—from initial client consultation through pretrial motions, negotiations, and trial. The ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, detail-oriented in preparation, and committed to providing high-quality representation.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in criminal matters in state courts throughout South Carolina

Handle cases from intake through resolution, including trial when necessary

Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare case strategy

Negotiate with prosecutors to secure favorable outcomes

Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and expectations

Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials

Qualifications:

Licensed to practice law in South Carolina

Strong litigation, research, and writing skills

Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

Courtroom experience preferred

Commitment to client advocacy and professional integrity

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience.
