The Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program is seeking an attorney to represent volunteer guardians ad litem in Greenwood, Laurens and Abbeville Counties. This is a part time contract position starting as soon as possible and ending, if not renewed, June 30, 2026. Representation duties include court appearances, document preparation, legal correspondence, research, hearing preparation, discovery, legal advice, and any other work required to represent volunteer guardians in Department of Social Services Abuse and Neglect proceedings, including matters ancillary to representation in same. Applicants must be in good standing and licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
