Brilhante and Ott, Attorneys at Law, LLC is a family law, mediation, and probate firm serving Aiken and the surrounding area. We handle everything from custody and divorce to adoptions, guardianships, conservatorships, mediation, and estate matters with compassion, clarity, and strategic focus.
We are seeking someone professional, organized, and dependable—someone who communicates well, follows through, and helps keep cases moving in a busy, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview
In this role, you will work directly with one attorney. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients after they retain the firm, help manage family court and probate files, and support the attorney with the day-to-day work that keeps cases and the office moving.
The right person is comfortable with technology, moves quickly without sacrificing accuracy, maintains a pleasant, professional attitude, and takes pride in doing every task well—even the small stuff.
Hours: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
Pay: $19–$24 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for frequent, daily client communication.
• Draft letters, pleadings, orders, and other documents under attorney direction.
• Stay ahead on active matters by keeping electronic and physical case files organized and anticipating next steps in case preparation.
• Monitor and follow up on case-related requests and tasks to make sure they are completed.
• Keep accurate daily records of time worked and tasks performed.
• Maintain friendly, courteous interactions with courthouse staff and other law firm personnel.
• Pitch in with basic office and front-desk support when needed, such as scanning, errands, and helping keep shared spaces client-ready as part of the team.

Minimum Qualifications
• Completion of a paralegal program or equivalent experience in a legal setting (open to new graduates or someone willing to learn).
• Strong comfort with technology; this role is fully computer-based.
• Proficient typing skills and solid use of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Quick learner with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to ask questions when a task is unclear and to follow through until tasks are completed.
• Reliable, in-person availability Monday–Friday during normal business hours.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and maintain a drug-free status.
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and a team-first attitude.
• Friendly, patient, and able to maintain a steady, calm presence with clients who may be under stress.

Bonus Qualifications
• Experience in family law, probate, or other client-facing legal work.
• Experience in roles that required handling multiple ongoing tasks in a busy environment with detailed follow-up.
