On Demand

Find 400+ On Demand CLE Courses

Search from a catalog of more than 400 On-Demand courses offered by the SC Bar. Choose from 30-minute to 6-hour seminars covering all major practice areas, ethics (LEPR) and Substance Abuse/Mental Health (SA/MH). Some On-Demand programs also qualify for Specialization Credit, and almost all programs are covered by the CLE Big Ticket.

The SC Bar will report your On-Demand credits to the SC Supreme Court Commission on CLE and Specialization. For us to accurately report your credits you MUST:

  • Choose the SC Supreme Court Commission on CLE and Specialization as your Credit Reporting Organization (CRO) (See FAQs for instructions).
  • Complete your program within 30 days from the date of purchase. NOTE: On-Demand programs expire after 30-days from the order date. If your original order program expires, you may re-order, but only after the original expires. If you re-order, you must start the program from the beginning, and you cannot pick up where you left off.
  • Click on all checkpoints and view the entire program until you are prompted to retrieve your Certificate of Completion.
  • Download a Certificate of Completion and retain it for your files. If you complete a program in December, January or February, attach a copy of your Certificate of Completion to your Final MCLE Compliance Report when filing with the Commission on CLE.

Failure to complete all of the above steps will prevent CLE credits from being reported by the SC Bar or awarded by the Commission on CLE.

All On-Demand programs are considered as ADO (Alternatively Delivered Medium) credits for the purposes of MCLE compliance. You are allowed to claim credit for up to eight (8) hours of On-Demand or individual live webinar per MCLE reporting cycle (March 1 - March 1).

For more information or if you have questions, contact CLE Distance Education Director Jane Points.

We strongly encourage you to review all On-Demand FAQs before ordering a program.

All SC Bar CLE programs expire from your online classroom account 30 days from the date of your order. If a program expires from your classroom you may re-order, but only after it has expired.

Generally, NO. The SC Bar is an Accredited Provider in South Carolina only.

Most jurisdictions allow Bar members to seek individual program accreditation for live and live webinar programs, but generally NOT for On-Demand programs.

Before ordering a SC Bar CLE On-Demand program for which you want accreditation elsewhere, carefully review the CLE rules on foreign program accreditation in that jurisdiction.

NOTE: The SC Bar is not able to seek individual live, live webinar or On-Demand accreditation for its programs in other jurisdictions.

Be sure you are connected to the Internet.

Click on your browser's refresh button (top left of screen, circular button with arrow). Then click on the triangular "play" button on your screen.

If your program is still not playing, try switching to a different browser such as Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox. You will need to log out completely and log back into your Bar account, navigate to your classroom and your program should launch at the point the program stopped.

If you're still experiencing audio or video technical issues, you may email support@peachnewmedia.com or call 1-866-702-3278.

You must view the entire program and hit all checkpoints. Checkpoints are signaled by the notes of the Big Ben Chime and remain on your viewer screen for approximately 90 seconds. There is no partial credit awarded for online programming. NOTE: If you have an ad blocker enabled or other restrictive Internet settings, you may be prevented from engaging the checkpoints.

At the full conclusion of the program, a prompt will appear that will signal you to submit your credits and download your Certificate of Completion.

Your certificate will include your name, your Bar number, and the exact credits for the program.

Total MCLE credits are listed first. If your program also includes LEPR, Mental Health/Substance Abuse, or Specialization credits, those credits are listed below your MCLE credits.

Keep in mind that you may not claim more than the total MCLE credits on line 1.

Pursuant to S.C. Supreme Court Commission on CLE and Specialization Regulation Appendix C, V., B, 3 "CLE credit earned through online or telephone courses and applied to the annual fourteen (14) hour minimum requirement shall not exceed eight (8) hours of credit per reporting year." In addition, you may not carry forward any hours earned online to the following reporting year.

Between March and December, SC Bar CLE sends a weekly report to the Commission on CLE detailing completion of SC Bar CLE online programs. During January and February, we send daily reports.

Please keep in mind that it takes time for the Commission to update their system, which is not connected with the SC Bar. If you have questions about your MCLE status, please contact the SC Commission on CLE & Specialization at commcle@bellsouth.net.
