Registering to Take a Live Webinar

We strongly recommend that you pre-register for your Live Webinar no later than 5 p.m. the day before the program. Once registered, log in to your account and access your program at least 30 minutes before the published start time of your program. Contact Technical Support at support@peachnewmedia.com for assistance if there is a problem with your feed.

During December, January and February the SC Commission on CLE & Specialization asks that you attach the certificate, and write the program title, date, and credit information on the Compliance Report before submitting it to the Commission.

We strongly recommend that you read all FAQs before registering for your live webinar.

No. Live webinars, as well as On-Demand programs, are counted as Alternatively Delivered Medium (ADO) credits.

Bar members may get up to eight (8) hours of live webinar and/or on-demand programming during any MCLE compliance year (March 1-March 1).

Live webinar and/or on-demand credits may not be carried forward to the next compliance year. Only live credits may be carried forward.

Bar members are required to report six (6) hours of live (in-person) MCLE credits per reporting year.

No.

Live webinars are considered ADO credits.

Satellite location attendance is counted as live credit, just as if the member attended the program in the same room as the faculty.

You cannot access your Certificate of Completion until the program is completely finished. This is true even if the program exceeds the advertised running time or credit amount.

  • In your viewer, you will see a credit submission area. A prompt will appear that will signal you are able to submit for your credits and get your Certificate of Completion. It may take up to 10 minutes after the program has ended for the prompt to appear. If it does not appear after that timeframe refresh your browser and your credit submission should appear.

  • Select the prompt. You will then be able to access the Certificate of Completion by clicking on the certificate icon under "submitted credit," as long as you entered the SC Commission on CLE as the Credit Reporting Organization in your profile.

You may also navigate back to your Account Profile page, click on the link under Manage Credit, scroll to "submitted credit," and press the green button next to the title of your program. Your Certificate should appear as a pdf, and you may download or print it for your records.

Yes. We will also submit a report of your complete attendance to the Commission on CLE and Specialization, but we cannot submit your attendance until you have completed the steps above.

By Commission rule, we have 30 days to report your attendance, but as a practical matter, we submit within days after a seminar, and we submit daily reports in February. If you do not see your webinar credits listed in your Commission account, contact the Commission at admin@comm.cle.org, or call either 803-915-8701 or 803-908-0937.

Yes. Before registering, be prepared to view the entire webinar on its scheduled date. The Commission does not award partial credit for less than the entire program.

You may contact jpoints@scbar.org to request the On-Demand version of the webinar.

Note: Most On-Demand programs are available 3-4 weeks after the webinar program date.

Keep in mind that in order to receive credit, you must watch the entire On-Demand program. You may not fast-forward an On-Demand program or view only portions of it.

You can set your browser settings to display closed-captioning for live webinars and On-Demand programs.

Maybe. The SC Bar is an Accredited Provider in South Carolina and does not seek accreditation for its seminars in other jurisdictions, nor will it seek individual program accreditation for SC Bar members who may also be licensed elsewhere.

Some jurisdictions allow attorneys to apply for live seminar, webinar, and (to a lesser extent) on-demand credit. Check the CLE credit rules for each jurisdiction for information, requirements and restrictions.

The SC Bar is unable to seek individual program accreditation outside of South Carolina.

You may be eligible for tuition assistance up to the full price of the seminar through the SC Bar Foundation Ronnie M. Cole Scholarship Fund

The Cole Scholarship Fund awards financial support to lawyers who may have trouble meeting their required CLE credits. Priority will be given to public service lawyers and Foundation grantees (past and present), but any Bar member may apply. Scholarships are awarded on a needs-basis.
