ABOUT MUSGROVE MILL GOLF CLUB www.musgrovemill.com
Consistently ranked among Golfweek’s “100 Best Modern Courses in America” and holding the #2 spot for the best in the Upstate South Carolina, golf enthusiasts from across the country (and the world) voyage to Musgrove Mill Golf Club for an experience they talk about for years after. Located about an hour from Columbia and only 45 minutes from Greenville, Musgrove Mill is known not only for its changing elevations but its history, beauty and landscape. This private golf sanctuary has no surrounding homes or structures; its creation in 1988 was focused solely on the integrity of the game and a profound respect for the natural wilderness of Upstate South Carolina. On Musgrove Mill’s 6,940 yard, par 72 terrain each hole provides a different experience. Golfer’s marvel at the course’s varying elevation and landscape- from a low country marsh on hole eight to a highlands style hole ten. The signature hole, number seven, was included on Kingdom Magazine’s list of “The King’s Dream 18” because of its challenging 190 yard shot over a bend in the Enoree River. Members talk about the challenge of the course, but in the same breath talk about the unique setting. Designer Arnold Palmer has included extensive use of his siganture waste bunkers, and his course layout follows the natural characteristics of this historic land, much in the style of the older courses in Scotland.
