Current Issues in Homeowners Association Law in South Carolina

This approximately 90-minute seminar focuses on some of the most common legal issues and dilemmas faced by community associations, professional property managers and the attorneys who represent and advise them. The seminar is presented in an interview-style, question and answer format with questions from a professional property manager and answers from an attorney who represents community associations. Among the primary topics covered are the fiduciary obligations of community association boards to collect assessments and properly manage association funds; collection of delinquent amounts, liens and foreclosures in the community association context; tips and best practices for effective community association governance; and the applicable law that relates to and affects those areas. 1.5 Total CLE Credits (No Ethics).
