Estate Planning in S.C. in Light of The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012
This program qualifies for 8.25 MCLE credit hours, including 1.0 LEPR credit hour, 1.0 credit hour of which is SA/MH ; 7.25 Estate Planning Specialization and 7.25 Taxation Specialization credit hours.
This advanced level program is designed for experienced estate planners and tax attorneys and is named in honor of workshop founder, Al Todd. This year’s program will focus on estate planning in light of the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. Those who register by June 15 will be asked to participate in a special estate planning questionnaire, the results of which will be discussed at the program. 
This special two-day workshop will feature national and local speakers covering a variety of topics such as the power of generational dynamics in estate planning, elder law considerations, surviving a gift tax audit, asset protection in South Carolina and beyond, life insurance planning and a review of the new South Carolina probate code revisions. In addition, well-known North Carolina resident and former attorney, Jim Blackburn, will present the ethics portion that will cover the one-hour requirement for substance abuse and mental health.
You will have some time Friday and Saturday afternoons to network and enjoy Kiawah Island and all it has to offer, including a relaxing spa treatment, golf, or just lounging by the pool or beach. Friday night will feature a reception for you and your family as well as an optional BBQ dinner!
