About the Seminar
One of the critical components in representing clients is making sure that they know what they are paying for and how they are being billed. One of the most common complaints received by the Bar is “my lawyer didn't do anything to earn that fee” or its first cousin “my lawyer didn't tell me I had to pay for that/charged me too much.” Taking a close look at Rule 1.5 and ensuring understanding of what needs to go into a fee agreement is one step in minimizing the risk of a client filing a fee dispute or an ethics complaint. Spend an hour taking a close look at Rule 1.5, it just might help you avoid a fee dispute.
