ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The South Carolina Bar Continuing Legal Education Division and the South Carolina Bar Construction Law Section are pleased to present the 2018 Construction Law Conference. This powerful, practical, and diverse program will provide the skills and knowledge to build a complete construction lawyer! This year’s program focuses on relevant topics for lawyers practicing construction law, including construction litigators and construction defects lawyers. The seminar will also provide attendees with two hours towards their Ethics CLE requirements and one hour towards the Substance Abuse/Mental Health requirement. The ethics presentation will include how to navigate situations where the forensic investigation findings may not be consistent with the theory of a case. Additionally, there will be a mock up for demonstration of construction issues with a discussion of prevalent construction defect issues. The conference will address the recent developments in motions to intervene in construction defects trials and include an informative discussion of licensing issues important to the construction industry. The seminar will conclude with the ever-popular annual construction law update!

Before we kick off the programming on Friday morning, join us Thursday evening for a networking reception on the Sonesta’s Beach Pavilion from 6 – 7 p.m.

This seminar is an intermediate level program.
