Bluestein Attorneys is seeking a Veterans’ Disability Attorney to join an established practice. Among other responsibilities, the candidate will advise clients regarding their Veteran’s Administration disability compensation appeals and associated legal issues; Communicate with medical experts regarding independent medical opinions and theories of entitlement; Prepare legal memoranda and briefs for submission to the VA regional office (RO), Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA), and Court of Appeals for Veteran’s claims (CAVC); Conduct informal conferences at both the Agency of Original Jurisdiction, and at the CAVC levels; Conduct formal hearings before a BVA Judge.
Bar licensure in South Carolina is preferred but not required.  Previous service in the military and/or experience with Veterans’ Disability claims is preferred. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter, who is able to work independently and communicate effectively with both clients and the firm’s VA Disability practice team.
