Law Firm Carolinas is seeking an associate real estate title attorney.  The qualified candidate must be licensed to practice law in SC and NC or willing and able to become licensed in NC immediately upon hire.

2-5 years of experience in the residential real estate field, including conducting closings, examining title, drafting title opinions, and performing related curative title work. Candidate must have experience with representing builders. Experience with SoftPro Select is a plus.

Candidate must have a strong work ethic and analytical, research, writing, and speaking skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a very client-centric approach.

In addition, a qualified candidate may be called upon to assist in drafting or editing deeds, leases, assignments, agreements and other forms of contracts relating to real estate. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to learn and grow within the firm’s real estate practice.

The candidate must have hands-on experience reviewing titles, analyzing, and solving title issues of all types, managing closings, and drafting the documents necessary to conduct a real estate transaction.

Candidate must possess a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work independently.

Proven ability to analyze, prioritize and execute multiple projects and complex tasks under a deadline.

Ability to analyze legal issues and to provide effective, practical advice on routine legal matters.

The position is full-time in the Columbia, SC office with willingness to travel to other offices as needed.
