Georgetown Law is hiring a Program Director to bring an innovative access to justice model to South Carolina. The Program Director will work in South Carolina, in partnership with Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services and Charleston Legal Access, to develop a program to train front line social services providers in the Charleston area to provide legal information and resources to their clients.
Implementing Legal Link’s first of its kind Legal First Aid training program in South Carolina, the program will serve as a “train-the-trainers” model that can be replicated in settings across the United States. Working closely with all four organizations the Program Director will lead South Carolina’s first Legal First Aid training program, including developing training materials, coordinating and leading training sessions, overseeing qualitative and quantitative assessments of the program, and publicizing the project in reports and convenings.
This is an exciting one-year opportunity to learn about multiple areas of law, learn about new models to improve access to justice, and grow your training and program management skills. No prior legal experience required and recent law school graduates, including those of who are taking the bar in 2022, are encouraged to apply.
We hope you will join us in expanding the access to justice ecosystem in South Carolina! See the job description and please reach out to Tanina Rostain at Georgetown Law for more information.
