The SC Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Voices Against Violence Committee is collecting personal care items for its 2016 Women in Need Drive. Items will be collected until Dec. 5 and donated to various domestic violence shelters throughout the state. See the flyer here.
Items needed include paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, office paper, canned goods and other food items, powder laundry detergent, cleaning products, deodorant, toothbrushes, children’s clothes and baby wipes. Additionally, clothes for sexual assault survivors are needed, such as pants with elastic waistbands, packs of underwear, sports bras, t-shirts and socks.
Tax-deductible monetary donations are also welcome. Checks may be sent directly to the shelter of your choice or made payable to the SC Bar YLD Foundation and mailed to SC Bar, Attn: YLD Foundation, P.O. Box 608, Columbia, SC 29202.
