The SC Bar International Law Committee, in conjunction with Trident Technical College, will sponsor a free legal clinic for entrepreneurs in North Charleston on Thursday, May 18. The clinic, titled Technology and International Issues for Entrepreneurs, will include information on general corporate issues, cybersecurity, cloud computing, websites, social media, contractual clauses to protect entrepreneurs, data protection, data transfer issues and international tax implications.

The seminar will be presented by International Law Committee members Laurie Boeding, Wolfgang Buchmaier, Francesc Giannoni-Crystal, Nichole Murphey, Timothy D. Scrantom and Allyson H. Stuart. The clinic will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Dorchester Road Regional Public Library (6325 Dorchester Rd., N. Charleston 29418).

This seminar is free for anyone who would like to attend. The format will consist of an overview followed by a question and answer session and an opportunity to speak one on one with an attorney. A schedule of other upcoming seminars throughout the state is available online.
