On prom night, every girl deserves to feel like Cinderella, but for some, finances get in the way. This year, the SC Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) invites you to be a fairy godmother and make a student's dreams come true.
The Cinderella Project provides free, gently-worn prom dresses for students who lack the resources to buy a gown for their high school prom. You can be a fairy godmother by donating clean dresses in all sizes, evening bags, jewelry, shoes and other accessories.
“This project gives us a unique opportunity to increase students’ confidence by providing them a beautiful dress and shoes free of charge,” said Erica Lyrbrand, YLD’s Cinderella Project Committee Chair. “I love seeing the relief of parents who no longer need to worry about the financial burden of the prom experience.”

The Cinderella Project boutique will be at Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken on Saturday, Feb. 24. Students can to shop for a free gown with a personal stylist from 9 a.m. to noon. Don't forget your student ID.
“Prom is usually one of the most memorable times for high school students, and it is truly a blessing to make these memories extra special,” said Lybrand.
