COLUMBIA, SC (November 3, 2009) -- The South Carolina Bar Ask-A-Lawyer program, which coordinates volunteer lawyers in a regional effort to assist the public with its legal questions, will be held in Charleston on Monday, November 16.

Television phone banks, staffed by volunteer attorneys, will air on the evening news between 5 and 6:30 p.m. to encourage the public to call in with questions. Lawyers will also respond to questions via a Web chat.

The public should call WCSC in Charleston at (843) 849-5420 to speak to attorneys, or they can chat with an attorney online by visiting www.scbar.org/aal.

Attorney volunteers include Kevin Campbell, Sharon B. Capers, William J. Cutchin, Martha B. Dicus, Paul J. Doolittle, Rhett C. Dunaway, Joseph C. Good III, Donna G. McQueen, Hoyt S. Neal and Jeffrey S. Tibbals.

The Ask-A-Lawyer program is made possible by the South Carolina Bar Foundation, Inc.

The South Carolina Bar, which has a membership of more than 13,000 lawyers, is dedicated to advancing justice, professionalism and understanding of the law.
