Torts & Insurance Practices Section Minutes
March 15, 2005
 
The Council met this date via conference call. Members participating were: Thomas R. Young Jr., chair; Robert T. King; James T. Irvin III; and E. Brown Parkinson Jr. Representing the Bar staff was Elena Ladygina.
 
Chairperson Young called the meeting to order.
 
The first item of business was discussion on FY2005-06 Council nominations. It was noted that the position of Secretary and two Council member seats were vacant. After discussion, Gerald E. Reardon was nominated to serve as Secretary, term expiring in 2006, which would leave his Council member seat vacant. Timothy Orr was nominated to serve as a Council member, term expiring in 2007. Steven M. Pruitt and Robert T. Usry were nominated to serve as Council members, terms expiring in 2008. The remaining officer positions were filled according to the usual rotation of the seats. Council members would be distributed to the Council for approval via e-mail:

The next item of business was an update on the Section seminar held at the Bar Convention. Mr. Young stated that he received positive reviews from the seminar attendees. 
 
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
 
Addendum - March 15, 2005
The Council members voted and approved the proposed FY2005-06 slate of Council members via e-mail. Council members who voted were Hugh W. Buyck, Robert E. Davis, Reginald L. Foster, James T. Irvin III, Matthew K. Johnson, Robert T. King, Brown Parkinson and Tom Young Jr.
