Section expands channels of communication between Section members and develops channels of communication with the Department of Revenue and IRS. The Section annually appoints delegates to attend the annual regional meetings of the Internal Revenue Service to provide a voice for the state and sponsors CLE seminars, often in co-sponsorship with the Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Section. The Section also plans to draft legislation to protect settlements from unfair taxation.
