SC Bar

Section sponsors a CLE seminar at the Bar convention; publishes a newsletter; monitors and addresses attorney defalcation issues; and monitors and comments on legislation relating to real estate issues. Current projects include: creation and adoption of a Bar-approved contract of sale; creation of a Bar-approved bank opinion letter; establishment of a committee to study and make recommendations regarding a uniform system of microfilming/imaging technology for the offices of the Register of Deeds statewide; and concluding review of a proposal from the Practice and Procedure Committee for a Mortgage Payee Notification requirement.
