The next item of business was discussion on the docketing rules. Mr. Schwacke reported that the Board of Governors had approved the Council’s request to approach the Senate Task Force on Criminal Justice regarding any proposed changes to the docketing rules. However, shortly after receiving Board approval, he was informed that the Senate Task Force was no longer accepting live testimony. After discussion, it was reported that only 30 of the Pilot Track Docketing questionnaires had been returned. Council members expressed their desire to distribute a second notice. He noted that Senator Leatherman had expressed interest but requested additional information to determine how to structure a program. After discussion, it was suggested that a survey be distributed to gather additional information such as the number of outstanding loans, the loan amount, job status, and salary.
