ADR SECTION COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

Friday, February 10, 2006, 3:30 p.m.

The Council met at the date, time and place reflected above.

Mr. Spence called the meeting to order.

Minutes: By proper motion, second and unanimous vote, the Council adopted the minutes from the October 28, 2005, meeting.

ADR Commission Update: The Council members decided to adopt the update from the Commission’s meeting since all were present for that meeting.

Annual Certification Renewals: The Council members decided to adopt the update from the Commission’s meeting since all were present for that meeting.

Collaborative Law Subcommittee Report: Ms. Duarte reported that she was waiting for information from Susan Quinn to effectively deliver an update to the members. By motion, second and unanimous vote, the Council tabled this issue.

Bar Convention Seminar: Mr. Griffeth reported that the Bar Convention was a success.

New Business: Council approved to adopt and incorporate the discussion and plans for the Commission’s ADR education project, the Patient Claims Subcommittee meeting update and the USAID Judicial Study Tour into the Council minutes as all Council members were present at the previous Commission meeting. All members favored tabling the discussion of helping to fund the ADR Education project until the next meeting.

Next Meeting: The Council scheduled its next meeting to follow the ADR Commission meeting, Friday, April 21, 2006, 2:30 p.m., at the SC Bar Building.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
