Alternative Dispute Resolution Section
The South Carolina Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Section promotes A.D.R.:
A wareness of alternative dispute resolution as a means of resolving conflicts.
D evelopment of skills and knowledge for mediators, other neutrals and attorneys.
R esearch and development of improved forms and philosophies of alternative dispute resolution to better serve our legal system, enhance public perception of ADR and increase satisfaction with its use as a means of solving conflicts.
Current projects include: increasing awareness of ADR through public forums and business seminars; creating consultation task force committees to work with counties that do not have ADR pilot programs; developing an electronic mailing list for the Section; and promoting media exposure of ADR efforts.
