Practice Tips

Tuesday's Tip:

New! If you're like me, you're constantly playing fast and loose with the upward storage limit of Outlook. That's because you want to save just about everything. There's a really simple way to save your email messages, along with any attachments, with just a few clicks.

Open the email. Click FILE / SAVE AS. Change the message type at the bottom of the dialog box from the default (which may be plain text, HTML or rich text) to Outlook Message Format (.msg). Navigate at the top of the dialog box to the folder you want to save the message in. Click SAVE. This will save the original email along with any attachments or graphics. You can then delete the original from Outlook.

To find and open the message later, go to the appropriate folder in Windows Explorer. Saved emails are easy to spot. They will have an envelope icon next to them.
