Bar Cards
The Bar offers new and improved Bar cards containing a photo ID on a durable plastic material. The cards are available at the Bar building during regular business hours. The first card is free; replacement cards are $10 each. Bar staff will periodically offer the cards at CLE seminars. Members are not required to obtain a new card. Computer Training

The South Carolina Bar makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding these insurance products or vendors. However, the Insurance Programs Committee has proposed and the Board of Governors has approved recommendations for these products. The recommendations are periodically reviewed.

Lawyer Referral Service
The Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) is a public service of the South Carolina Bar. It offers a simple and practical method of introducing people with legal problems to qualified lawyers. To receive referrals in self-designated areas, Bar members join the LRS at an annual cost of $50 per county. For more information, contact the Public Services Counsel at (803) 799-6653, ext. 138. 

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is located in vacation destinations across the United States (SC, GA, FL, CA, NJ, IL, DC, TX) and Canada. It offers Bar members a 25 percent discount on tickets and 10 percent discount on merchandise. To obtain a discount card, call the Bar at (803) 799-6653, ext. 111 or e-mail lbreitenbaugh@scbar.org. The offer is not valid with any other discount or for special shows/events. Bar members should mention this discount when making a reservation and present the card upon arrival along with their Bar card. 


MeetingBridge Teleconferencing and Web Conferencing Services
MeetingBridge offers Bar members discounts on these services. After the discount, Bar member rates are 9.5¢ per minute for automated teleconferencing service and 13.5¢ for web conferencing service. For more information or to open a MeetingBridge account, visit www.meetingbridge.com/375.


 Overnight Delivery Service


United Parcel Service and FedEx offer discounted rates for Bar members. Members can now save up to 26% on select FedEx® shipping and up to 20% on FedEx Office business services. Risk Management/STAR
In partnership with ALPS, the Bar's preferred malpractice provider, the Bar is providing RISC (reduce insured's susceptibility to claims) assessments to ALPS-insured members of the Bar. The visits are designed to assist attorneys and their staffs in targeting potential areas of risk and to provide the tools necessary to help eliminate the potential for malpractice lawsuits. Areas reviewed can include filing systems and organization, client relations and calendar managment. The visits are conducted by Bar staff lawyers trained by ALPS.  STAR (Steps to Avoid Risk) is a Bar-operated risk managment program, designed to provide Bar members with a candid assessment of law office operations and personalized suggestions to avoid malpractice and disciplinary claims. For a nominal fee, a specially trained Bar attorney will conduct an on-site visit to your law office. After an assessment of office organization, calendaring methods and staffing, you will be provided with an individualized follow-up report and additional information specific to the needs and concerns of your practice. Shred 360
Shred 360 offers Bar members discounts on all of its services, including on-site document destruction, off-site document destruction, media/hard drive destruction, information storage and recycling services. In addition to already discounted rates, Shred 360 is offering one-time purge services for $0.10 per pound for the months of October through December.
