  • The Urban Institute conducted a study of the impact of Youth Court on juvenile offenders.Their findings showed that Youth Court increased:

  • positive attitudes regarding police officers, teachers, parents, judges, principals, lawyers and other courtroom workers;
  • offender participation in civic activities,including youth court, after sentence completion;
  • volunteer and offender learning about the legal system;
