About the Seminar
Workers’ Compensation lawyers rely heavily on medical records and doctors. Lawyers and doctors are not adversaries in workers’ compensation. But do you really know what that operative note means? What told the doctor to do this or that procedure or treatment? This program is heavily concentrated on medicine. You will see physical exams of patients to understand the tests and analysis of the doctor in the exam room. You will see surgery of the spine, knee, and shoulder. You will see the modalities of modern pain management.
If we understand a bit more medicine, we ask fewer and more informed questions of the doctor, and our system works more efficiently. Attend this seminar and learn how to be a better lawyer from the excellent medical staff who have agreed to present. This is not only a unique educational experience, but there is a social networking reception Thursday evening for members of the SC Bar Workers’ Compensation Section with the SC Medical Association and the SCWCC at the Columbia Marriott. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet new colleagues on Thursday evening. Help us bridge the gap between doctors and lawyers! Mandatory MCLE Credit Hours and Legal Ethics & Professional Responsibility (LEPR) Credit Hours
This seminar qualifies for 6.0 MCLE credit hours, including up to .5 LEPR credit hour.
