About the Seminar
This interactive workshop is designed to provide busy litigators with the tools to create their own automated visual trial presentations - on a budget! Using your own laptop and working in teams, you will learn the advantages, techniques, and shortcuts to take your demonstrative evidence to a new level of effectiveness for your next trial. Each team will be assigned one of two case scenarios complete with digitized legal documents, deposition testimony, photos and video from which they will put together an automated trial presentation, which will be presented and critiqued at the end of the day.
Each registrant will be provided with a thumb drive already loaded with software for creating powerful audio and video trial presentations and for saving their day’s work. The thumb drives are generously provided by Thomson-West Publishing and Ford Douglass. Registrants will also be provided with a CD-ROM with evidence to be used for creating a closing argument. Step-by-step instruction and detailed reference materials by Stacy Jemott-Hunt of Midlands Technical College will be provided on how to create a PowerPoint presentation using the evidence and software that you will load onto your computer. Wireless Internet access will also be provided.
If you’re tired of the same old "talking head" CLE seminars and you want to "learn by doing’" in a fun, small group, interactive atmosphere, this is the program for you! Not only will you take away the skills and knowledge to create your own visual trial presentation, but you’ll get lots of free software and some of the best one-on-one instruction to be had on trial technology anywhere!
