About the Seminar
For the past six years, the North Carolina Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar Tax Sections have convened on the South Carolina coast for CLE, golf and good friends. This year our CLE is being sponsored in cooperation with the Tax Section of the American Bar Association and we are excited to be partnering with them. Also, this year we are returning to a familiar location: the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. The Seventh Annual North Carolina/South Carolina Tax Section Workshops are focused toward advanced level and seasoned tax lawyers and practitioners. This year, the North Carolina and South Carolina Bar Tax Sections and ABA Tax Section bring you a topnotch tax CLE that includes topics such as:

• North Carolina and South Carolina Tax Updates;

• Tax Issues for Conservation Easements;

• Advanced 1031 Like-Kind Exchange Issues;

• Federal Tax Controversy Issues; and

• Selected Tax Issues in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Again, for 2008, the Seventh Annual North Carolina/South Carolina Tax Section Workshops promise to deliver quality speakers with practical advice and information, as well as golf, tennis and the opportunity to network, learn and play … all at the same time!
