The Student Bar Association of the University of South Carolina School of Law (SBA) and the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar (YLD) cordially invite you to attend the Third Annual YLD/SBA Pig Cook-Off. It will take place on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 5:30PM at the University House (911 Stadium Road, Columbia, SC 29201).
The Pig Cook-Off is an annual competition between the YLD and the SBA to see who can prepare the best batch of barbeque using homemade rubs and sauces. The highlight of the event is the barbeque judging where each team submits their barbeque to a panel of judges consisting of members of the judiciary and the School of Law administration. After a blind taste test, the judges declare a winner of the Pig Cook-Off! The winner gets bragging rights and receives a trophy to commemorate the victory.
Last year, over one hundred students and lawyers attended the Pig Cook-Off to enjoy good food and fellowship with students and members of the Bar. This year we hope to have even more participation. The Pig Cook-Off is a great opportunity for members of the South Carolina Bar, judiciary, faculty, and students to interact while enjoying some great southern barbeque. It is also a good opportunity for members of the Bar to find out what is happening at the School of Law, reunite with faculty and meet some great students. The YLD and SBA hope that you will attend this year’s event. May the best pig win!
Please RSVP by Monday, March 31st. Young Lawyers should RSVP to Morgan Crouch (email@example.com).
