This Section furthers the improvement and development of legislation pertaining to state and local governments and seeks to simplify and improve administrative and judicial procedures in the field of government law. The Section also provides programs for lawyers who represent clients before government entities; works with related groups to sponsor or publicize programs of mutual interest; and sponsors an electronic mailing list for members.

Approved by the Supreme Court Commission on CLE & Specialization for 6.0 MCLE credit hours, including up to 1.0 LEPR credit hour. This seminar is for Section members only. The registration fee is $150 prior to June 7 and $175 afterwards and includes lunch.
Section Goals
Establish a periodic Government Law Section newsletter through the Section listserv and post on the Bar website.
Sponsor a Section CLE at the Bar Convention.
Continue to sponsor a mid-year meeting.
Explore sponsorship opportunities with various organizations.
Continue to survey Section membership for topics of interest for seminars and the newsletter as well as obtain information on various services the Section can provide to its members.
Reimburse registration fees, lodging, travel and a per diem for the Section Chair to attend up to two in-state conferences/seminars directly associated or sponsored by the Section.
