In observance of Celebrate Pro Bono Week 2013, the S.C. Bar Pro Bono Program is holding an all-day Ask-A-Lawyer web chat event! Volunteers are needed to answer the public's questions on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts and will work from the convenience of their homes or offices. Attorneys who practice in all areas of the law are encouraged to volunteer; e-mail Cindy Coker at email@example.com for more information or to sign up.
LRE is seeking attorney volunteers for its annual Mock Trial Programs, which teach middle and high school students about the legal system through trial role playing. Attorney judges are needed to score the competitions, and attorney coaches are needed to help prepare the teams. All attorney volunteers earn pro bono credit for their hours dedicated to the Mock Trial Program.

The High School Mock Trial Competitions are: Feb. 22, 2014 (Columbia, Conway, Greenville, Lexington and N. Charleston); and March 7-8, 2014 (Columbia or Lexington).
