Bar's Senior Citizens' Handbook wins Notable Document Award
The S.C. Bar's South Carolina Senior Citizens' Handbook: A Guide to Laws and Programs Affecting Senior Citizens has won a S.C. State Library Notable Document Award for 2012. The annual awards recognize publications of outstanding merit and usefulness to South Carolinians. The award will be presented on May 13 at the S.C. State Library.

Bar exam results
The
results of the February 2013 Bar Exam were posted April 26. The last page contains the pass rates for law schools. The swearing-in ceremony for applicants who have passed the Bar and have completed all other requirements for admission will be held at the Koger Center in Columbia on May 13 at 2:30 p.m.

Cole Scholarship applications due May 6, June 3
Applications are being accepted for scholarships from the Ronnie M. Cole CLE Scholarship Fund. Apply for May CLE seminars by May 6 and June CLE seminars by June 3. Scholarships are awarded to lawyers in need of help with the cost of required continuing legal education seminars and will be used to attend a qualifying course offered by the S.C. Bar CLE Division. Any member of the S.C. Bar in good standing is eligible to apply provided he or she can show sufficient financial need. Preference is given to Bar Foundation grantees past or present.
