Ask-A-Lawyer: Volunteer lawyers to take legal questions Aug. 30 and Sept. 1

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Aug. 16, 2011) – The S.C. Bar Ask-A-Lawyer program, which coordinates volunteer lawyers in a regional effort to assist the public with its legal questions, will be held in Columbia on Tuesday, Aug. 30, and in Charleston on Thursday, Sept. 1.
Television phone banks, staffed by volunteer attorneys, will air on the WLTX evening news between 5 and 7:30 p.m. and on the WCBD evening news between 5 and 6:45 p.m. to encourage the public to call in with questions. Lawyers will also respond to questions via Web chat.
