In Memoriam: Matthew J. Perry 1921-2011

For your reflection, below is a compilation of news articles remembering U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Perry, who passed away Friday night. As a legendary civil rights figure, Perry's intellect, hard work and leadership will forever remain in our hearts and minds.

In November 2008, Judge Perry spoke at the S.C. Defense Trial Attorneys' Association meeting. His speech entitled The Civil Rights Movement - Personal Memories is now part of the Bar Foundation's Oral History Program and can be viewed here.
