PMAP Tech Tip
Did Santa bring you a shiny new laptop, tablet or smartphone? While you’re busy downloading fun apps, make sure you also install a service or two to help beef up your device’s security.
Prey is a free app that helps you pinpoint your device’s location if it is ever lost or stolen. It can also remotely lock down a missing laptop, making it unusable without a specific password. Lookout is another great security app. Lookout will locate your lost or stolen phone on a Google map, activate a loud alarm even if your phone is on silent, and remotely lock and/or wipe your missing phone so your data doesn’t end up in the wrong hands. Call PMAP with your practice questions at (803) 799-6653, ext. 183 or e-mail

Petition for Relief Packet
The Court approved the Petition for Relief Packet for use in South Carolina courts. The purpose of the packet is to provide information and forms to assist in petitioning for removal of a firearm or ammunition prohibition. The packet is available on the
Judicial Department's website.
