PMAP Practice Pointer
You can’t please everyone all the time, but having an unhappy client is especially stressful. That is why it’s important to effectively manage client expectations from the outset. Make sure you and your client are on the same page regarding the objectives of your client’s case. Also, it is good practice to let clients know how often you typically respond to e-mails and calls. Keeping your clients in the loop is always good—send them a quick e-mail about some progress you’ve made. Find more tips on mastering client care in this article. PMAP offers free advice for law firms; contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Save the date: Dec. 10—Greenville grantee gathering
Join the Heart of the Bar on Dec. 10 at Greenville’s West End Community Development Center for a free breakfast CLE to celebrate Foundation grantees—S.C. YMCA Youth In Government, S.C. Legal Services and the Upstate Mediation Center—as they share the impact their work has made on the people of the Upstate. The event qualifies for 0.5 ethics hours with a presentation by Beth Padgett, assistant director of the S.C. Bar Lawyers Helping Lawyers program. RSVP by Dec. 3 by calling (803) 765-0517 or e-mailing email@example.com. Unable to attend, but want to show your support? Click here.
