The Judicial Merit Selection Commission found the judicial candidates
in this media release qualified and nominated after public hearings held Nov. 5-6, 2013.

Join your colleagues for The Ethics of Innocence: Lessons from the Ordeal of Darryl Hunt, a discussion featuring Mark Rabil and Darryl Hunt on the events surrounding
The State of North Carolina v. Darryl Hunt. The event will take place during Dr. Greg Adams' Ethical Issues in Criminal Practice course on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 4:20 to 6:30 p.m. in classroom 135 of the USC School of Law. There is no charge to attend the course, and registration is not required.

Arts for the ARC
Bring your friends and family to Arts for the ARC, an event featuring music, a silent auction, arts and crafts, a meet and greet with Cocky and Miss South Carolina, and more! All proceeds benefit the Assessment Resource Center (ARC), a non-profit organization that provides litigation support, forensic interviews and medical support for children that have been sexually and physically abused. The event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Tapp's Arts Center (1644 Main St., Columbia). Interim suspension
By order of
November 6 the Court placed Richard G. Wern on interim suspension. Gretchen Gleason, receiver, has been appointed to protect clients’ interests.

In memoriam
John Graham Altman III, 79, of Charleston died November 5. His obituary can be found here.
